The winner of the SWEAT performance of the month for September 2015 is Oliver Hoare. The tall, lean, courageous 18 year old ran three sensational track races within the space of a few hours. At the CAS track Championships at Homebush in front of 15000 screaming fans, Oliver ran arguably the greatest middle distance treble in CAS history. The schoolboys from private schools around NSW, their families and supporters, watched in amazement as the towering Hoare won the 800m/1500m/3000m treble. Not only did he win, but he broke the 1500 (3.56) and 3000m (8.27) records by big margins. This successful day of racing caught the attention of famous 2GB announcer Alan Jones, who made special mention of Oliver on his drive time morning program the following day. Oliver’s triple victory came just a week after he won the national junior cross country 8km Championships in Melbourne, where he beat the best u/20 runners that Australia and NZ had to offer. Keep up the great work Oliver.
