49 years of age - on the cusp of turning 50. Louise kicked off the year placing 3rd outright place in the hilly dusty Orange 10k in 41.49. She then backed up with an outright 2nd place at the even hiller Lindfield 10k, hitting the 5k mark in 18.49 and finishing in 41.37. Not a bad start for someone who isn’t a big fan of hills. She then hit her mark in the Sydney10 at Homebush in 39.19 placing 2nd in her age group. Following this was a solid run a few seconds off her PB at the Sydney Morning Herald Half marathon in 88.12. A month later she won her age group at the Gold Coast 10k in 40mins flat. She paced the Sydney harbour 5k winning her age group again. In preparation for the upcoming City to Surf she tackled the hills of Sutherland to Surf in 44.17 placing 3rd in her age group.
