The Gold Coast Running Festival Half Marathon saw two Melbourne Packers reach for the stars and grab the with both hands on Sunday.
Nikki Lesberg was stunning in executing her half marathon race. She beat her PB by four and a half minutes to bolt home in 16th place in a swift 1.21.53. Kang Lim had rockets in his shoes on the Gold Coast roads as he ran affine PB of 1.32.32. He had to win the award for the biggest victory grin on the day!
In the marathon Dion Finocchiaro was very professional in pacing the lead women right on 2.25 pace until the 30km mark. They struggled to hold on and eventually Dion helped top Aussie Milly Clark snag a fine PB of 2.28.
In the 10km is was not Michael Kernahan’s day. He targeted a 30.30 PB run, but Saturday morning’s windy conditions made it a battle and he faded to a gallant 32.11 after being on target at half way.
